The Vial of Victory

She has something priceless in her possession. A valuable vial containing an expensive fragrance.

We don’t know her full story. Only that she was “a sinner.” Luke 7:37

She walks in a home she wasn’t invited and intentionally moves through a crowd silently criticizing her.

A woman willing to feel uncomfortable while searching for the One who transformed her from victim to victorious.

If you’ve ever experienced restoration, healing, forgiveness or peace that comes only through Christ you understand her determination and courage as she carried contents meant only for Him.

You understand why she pours out the priceless on the Prince of Peace.

I’ve been that woman. I still am. Maybe you are too.

Surviving storms, being set free from shame, healed of disease, guided through dark valleys. Being labeled and condemned from people who think they know you. But don’t.

Emptying your alabaster jar of thanksgiving on the feet of the One who saw you at your worst and still loved you best.

I’m here because of Him. An no other reason.

The alabaster jar that is my heart began to fill with gratitude as He emptied the toxic contents of trauma, soul fractures and the shame of sin.

And still does every day. I don’t know your full story. But He does.

He knows every bodily disease you have, sin you’ve committed, storm you are currently in.

He knows the past trauma you’ve endured and hurt inflicted on you by those who claimed to love you.

I encourage you to come to Him with the contents of your heart. Pouring out with weeping, worshipping Him with gratitude.

For His presence, protection, peace and provision.
