Casting Cares

People will break promises. God never will. Ever.

One promise I rely on daily is this:

Therefore humble yourselves under the might hand of God (set aside self-righteous pride), so that He may exalt you (to a place of honor in His service) at the appropriate time, casting all your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares about you (with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully). 1 Pet 5: 6-7 AMP

Every promise requires a process. Before we cast our cares we first come under the Hand of God. How? With humility.

After humility comes a lifting up (exalting) to be of service to Him at the appropriate time. Not on our schedule but His.

After the humbling comes the hand off. Giving Him our cares, concerns and worries. He wants what keeps us up at night. Our stomachs in knots. He wants our fears, our anguish, our tears.

Why? Because He cares for us. About us. Deeply. Affectionately. Daily.

We surrender and purposefully place ourselves not above others but under His protective covering.

We give up complete power, control, pride and outcomes. Along with our plans, goals, dreams, relationships, agendas and timelines.

And we trust He will provide protection from the enemy, a place to rest, be restored and revived.

He is our Father. His commands bless and not harm us. (Jer 29:11)

We are never outside of His view. He sees us. He knows us. He cares about us.

He helps us when we voluntarily humble ourselves under His protection and trust Him.

We become women who know His promises and follow His processes.

Until next time, keep becoming.
