Grace Sufficient

Lately I’ve been reflecting on grace. Maybe because I need it daily.

And I wonder.

As He struggled up the hill did Christ lock eyes with the adulterous woman he saved, the blind, mute, lepers and lame he healed?

Was the Samaritan woman weeping as He walked by? Standing next to the woman healed from the issue of blood? While nearby stands Peter, Jairus and his daughter?

All recipients of His unearned grace.

All had to navigate paths they never dreamed they’d have to walk. All needing grace sufficient to see them through.

I love Paul’s words as expressed in the Amplified Bible that says “but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you (My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough – always available – regardless of the situation; for “My power is being perfected (and is completed and shows itself most effectively) in (your) weakness. . .” 2 Cor 12:9.

Your storm will never be greater than God’s grace.

Neither will your sin or shortcomings or weaknesses. And certainly not your sickness.

Knowing this “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Heb 4:16

Grace is the gift that keeps on giving. When you need it go to God boldly for it.

You don’t have to perform for it or try to manipulate Him to receive it.

His grace will take what should break you and turn it into your testimony. How can I say this? Because I am evidence of it. And you can be too.
