I heard a quote years ago that said “If everything is important then nothing is.”
My energy is limited. Along with my focus.
The results of mid-life? Possibly. Or maybe being over stimulated with news, social media and stuff.
This week I’ve decided to pivot. Beginning with my priorities.
I’m choosing five areas of life to put the bulk of my energy and focus. And limiting everything else.
I’ve done this before.
New seasons require a shift in priorities.
Some women may be prioritizing health, while others are focusing on family, relationships, surroundings, finances, jobs or spiritual growth.
All I know is the more we try to do the less we get done.
Energy gets depleted and focus is scattered. And it’s exhausting.
So today let’s edit life and select five areas that right now matter most. In this chapter you’re in.
Simplifying is sophisticated. It’s streamlining until what remains is what’s valued most.
I encourage you today to choose your five.
Reduce it to three if necessary and make those the primary recipients of your time, energy and focus.
Our exhaustion is the result of making everything important. What matters most? Make that matter most. Starting today.
