Trading Confusion for Clarity

It’s 5:30 in the morning.

I’m sitting in my office. Blinds open. And waiting to witness the darkness become light. It’s a morning miracle I often miss. But not this morning.

I begin to read. “God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5.

Perfect promises at the perfect time. Because this world feels dark. Sometimes life does too.

Especially when you’ve been battling confusion over decisions you need to make but have been delaying.

I’ve been on that path for a while now. A mid-life woman waiting on a clear signal from God for the divine go ahead.

And in the meantime I’m overthinking, overanalyzing and gripped by the fear of making a wrong move.

Like trying to navigate a room in the middle of the night. It’s intimidating.

But one click of the light switch and the room I couldn’t walk confidently in is now a fully illuminated space.

The psalmist proclaimed God’s Word as being both a light and a lamp for his path and his feet. Ps 119:105.

John wrote that from the dawn of time was the Word (Christ) who was with God and was God. John 1:1 (AMP). And that Christ was “the light of life.” John 8:12

Are you needing clarity? Maybe you’re in a situation that requires a life changing decision?

Turn on the Light. Get with Him. Speak the language of silence and simply listen. And wait.

So often I would make a decision on my own, execute it then blame God when it backfired. Now I know better.

Making decisions without Him is like the blind leading the blind. They both fall into a (dark) pit. Matt 15:13-14

Let’s make our decisions with confidence derived from Him.

And when others don’t approve we stand by them knowing they were made with the guidance provided by the Light.

And always remember “God is Light. And in Him there is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:1.
